Sheet metal forming

Our leveling presses process plates up to approx. 300 mm thick made of materials with tensile strengths up to 1,300 N/mm² in cold or hot operation at sheet metal temperatures up to 600 °C. The presses are equipped with one or more leveling rams that can be moved in a coupled or independent mode. Integrated sheet metal handling systems and automatic tool changing systems ensure short cycle and setup times. A stroke accuracy of ±0.2 mm enables leveling precision that exceeds tolerance class S of DIN EN 10029.

Our U-pipe bending presses are the central forming unit in the production of longitudinally welded large-diameter pipes using the C-U-O process. Three to four main cylinders form plates up to 18 m in length with independently controlled horizontal and vertical forming axes to achieve the optimum U-shape for subsequent O-forming. The heavy structural components and tools are manufactured in our in-house foundry. Innovative drive systems are arranged directly on the press.

With a press force of 4,000 t per meter of pipe length, our O-pipe bending presses form high-strength steels above X100 to the required roundness at the optimum reduction ratio. The patented parallel control of the moving beam ensures a uniform pipe gap of ±1 mm/m over the entire pipe length. Modular half-shell tool systems made of spheroidal-graphite iron enable the production of different pipe diameters without changing tools, minimizing unproductive auxiliary times.
