SIEMPELKAMP straightening presses
Straightening presses are used in the sheet-metal processing industry, where they are used to straighten semi-finished products for subsequent processing, for example to level unevenness in sheet metal and slabs. SIEMPELKAMP straightening presses offer not only high straightening precision but also a wide straightening range and high flexibility in the further processing of the sheet metal. For materials with a tensile strength of 1,300 N/mm², sheet metal up to a thickness of approx. 300 mm can be processed.
For this purpose, the presses are equipped with one or more straightening rams that can be moved in a coupled or separate manner. The press force used for straightening is available across the entire press width. The sheet metal can be straightened in cold or hot operation at sheet temperatures of up to 600 °C. The selection of straightening parameters such as press force, support spacing, straightening speed, and overbending can be controlled manually and automatically.
Benefits of straightening presses
- Maximum flatness of the roller table on the measuring side behind the press
- High added value thanks to reduced machining
- Reduced setup times
- Precise point straightening capability
- Hot straightening of sheet metal
- Resource-efficient production with further processing of heavy plate
