Particleboard plant for Forte in Suwałki, Poland: handover four months earlier than expected – perfect coordination!

Krefeld, April 10, 2018 – The Polish furniture producer Fabryki Mebli “Forte” S.A. is currently opening its latest wooden composite board production plant in Suwałki, eastern Poland. Since mid-March, the manufacturer has been producing particleboard here in three-shift operation for its furniture factories in Mazowiecka, Białystok and Hajnówka, and will later also be producing here for a new furniture factory in Suwałki. The new facility could be handed over to Fabryki Mebli “Forte” S.A. four months prior to the contractually stipulated date – the result of the fair and collaborative interaction with the Siempelkamp team. In regular production operation, the manufacturer already fabricates 15 mm particleboards with a density of 530 kg/m³, among other products.

With the new particleboard plant, Fabryki Mebli “Forte” S.A. will be expanding its production capacity by 1,500 m³ of particleboard annually. Since assembly began in May 2017, the Siempelkamp installation team has ensured impressively short project milestones. The complete plant, delivered as a turnkey solution, was assembled and put into operation in just eight months. The production of the first board could be celebrated on February 3, 2018. Successful acceptance test procedures were completed on March 21^. – four months earlier than contractually planned!

Making sure that such a project can be delivered ahead of schedule requires experienced teams and flawless material. Time after time, what really pays off on the construction site is that the teams are able to install e.g. complete hydraulic assemblies that have already passed a test run at the Krefeld plant.
