Effective January 1, 2019, Dipl.-Ing. Christoph Michel will succeed Dr.-Ing. Hans Fechner as the spokesman for the management of the Siempelkamp Group.
Christoph Michel studied aerospace engineering at the University of Stuttgart and later, on a part-time basis while working full-time, earned an MBA degree from Duke University, USA. He can look back on 18 years of experience in mechanical and large-scale plant engineering.
After he first worked as a development and project engineer for ABB and Alstom, he joined the GEA Group in 2001. There he managed the areas of corporate development, mergers & acqui-sitions, and strategy. He also held various operative management positions. Most recently, he was the CEO responsible for the GEA Heat Exchangers business unit. He successfully man-aged this internationally acting group of machine and plant engineering companies which was later sold by GEA to a financial investor.
