ATR Industrie-Elektronik GmbH: Long night of the industry 2019 brings amusement and many Aha effects

Krefeld, 23 September 2019 - On 19 September, around 80 visitors took advantage of the opportunity to visit the switchgear cabinet specialist ATR on the occasion of the Long Night of Industry. Together with its supplier Siemens, the Siempelkamp Group company introduced technology and people to each other in two guided tours.

Control cabinets are among the products that many people cannot imagine anything precise about. One more reason for the ATR team to use the Long Night of Industry already in its seventh year for a live impression and to open the company gates.  "This night is a welcome opportunity to make our product tangible and to illustrate how versatile control cabinets can be," says Timo Amels, Managing Director of ATR Industrie-Elektronik GmbH.

At two Siemens marketplaces in the ATR control cabinet production area, visitors learned how modern technology is used for the benefit and safety of man, machine and the environment.
Marketplace No. 1 presented the "Safety Station": Here the guests tested who is faster - man or technology? It was also clear how technology can protect against hazards. Marketplace No. 2 presented the small controller "Logo! 8“. With the intelligent logic module, simple machines or systems, from building automation to a wide variety of applications, can also be quickly implemented in the private sector. ATR and Siemens demonstrated how it works in playful presentations and practical tests.

The visitor response to the marketplaces showed many an aha effect due to so much practical relevance. And: The Long Night of Industry was a very entertaining experience!
