Hydroforming presses

SIEMPELKAMP hydroforming presses

Open-die forging is a metal forming process in which metallic workpieces are specifically plastically deformed between tools without a completely closed die. Our plants are designed to meet the requirements of the end product and your individual additional specifications and feature the highest level of automation. They can be operated in fully automatic mode.

SIEMPELKAMP hydroforming presses are used to produce complex workpiece geometries in longitudinal and cross section. In addition to high-volume production in the automotive sector, the fitting industry is one of the many areas of application. Compared with conventional processes, forming with high pressure significantly expands the possibilities for shaping.

Benefits of the hydroforming press

  • Weight savings of 40 to 50%, in some cases up to 75%
  • Wall thickness distribution optimized to the component requirements
  • High cold work hardening
  • Continuous material grain flow for optimum component performance
  • High dimensional accuracy
  • Flow-optimized component contours and connection geometries
  • High-pressure intensifier
