SIEMPELKAMP Sorting & Forming Solutions S.r.l. is today’s SIEMPELKAMP company behind the historic name CMC Texpan. The portfolio includes technologies for material discharge, cleaning and sorting, metering and weighing, glue preparation, gluing, and mat forming in the wood-based panel industry.

SIEMPELKAMP Sorting & Forming follows the material flow in the plant – from controlled discharge through cleaning, classification, and metering to gluing and forming. Which technology is suitable depends, among other things, on material condition, type of contaminants, fraction, and subsequent process stage. Engineering, laboratory and simulation services, as well as lifecycle services, complement the machinery portfolio.

Material discharge with extractor systems

HSF systems and live bottom pits transfer bulk material in a controlled way from silos and storage areas to the subsequent process stages – such as dryers, separators, mills, or flakers.

Cleaning, sorting, and classification

Processes for fresh and recycled wood address different material conditions, fractions, and types of contaminants. The portfolio ranges from screening and magnetic solutions to gravimetric and densimetric separators.

Glue kitchens for glue preparation

Glue kitchens store and meter the components of the glue mixture for continuously controlled provision. They form the infrastructure upstream of application and mixing in the blender.

Blenders for gluing

Blenders bring metered resin or glue components together with wood particles. This process step links material feeding and metering with the subsequent mat forming.

Forming systems
