SIEMPELKAMP systems for steel-cable conveyor belts are characterized by an innovative cable-tension concept: The adjustable cable tension distribution enables our customers to increase production reliability and improve quality.
The electromechanical individual tensioning directly in the cable-tension gearbox – with integrated instrumentation and closed-loop control – provides permanent and 100% control over the actual cable tension distribution. For the customer, the precise quality reporting offers the opportunity to optimize production and product quality.
In the new concept, a roller comb replaces the traditional spreading comb and eliminates friction between the comb and the steel cable. This reduces abrasive wear on the galvanized steel cables. In addition, the roller comb prevents deviations in tension distribution compared with the traditional principle.
