Siempelkamp with new dual leadership

"We are pleased that we were able to win Martin Scherrer and Martin Sieringhaus, two internationally very experienced and successful managers in plant engineering and service, for the Siempelkamp Group. Mr Scherrer provides extensive experience in strategic development and the implementation of change processes. Mr Sieringhaus also managed the commercial aspects of extensive change initiatives," says Bertram Staudenmaier, Chairman of the Siempelkamp Advisory Board.
Martin Scherrer studied economics at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany. After graduating, he joined Voith Sulzer in Schio, Italy, where he headed the Controlling, Finance and Purchasing departments. After holding various management positions at Voith Paper in Indonesia and Brazil, Martin Scherrer returned to Voith in Germany as Executive Vice President Finance & Controlling for Voith Paper's Fabrics Division. In 2005, he was appointed Senior Vice President EMEA for the Fabrics Division.
Until 2008, Martin Scherrer had already been a member of the Management Board of the Group's Paper Division for one year, responsible for the Fabrics Division. After the merger of the two divisions Fabrics and Rolls in 2009 to form "Fabric & Roll Systems", he took over the operational management of the new division as Chief Operating Officer. In 2011, he was appointed CFO and Executive Vice President as well as member of the Management Board of the Voith Paper Group Division, and in 2014 he assumed responsibility for the Fabric & Roll Systems business line. In 2019, he joined AstenJohnson, where he led the business in Europe and Asia.
Martin Sieringhaus holds a degree in industrial engineering - specializing in controlling and mechanical engineering - and studied at the Technical University in Kaiserslautern. In 1999, he started his career at Voith Turbo as Assistant to the Board of Management and then became Head of Controlling for the Industry Division. In 2006, he then moved to the Paper Division as CFO and Vice President for many years. During this time, he was responsible for the Voith Paper Asia business as CFO in Shanghai for 3 years. Subsequently, Mr. Sieringhaus led a global project for the Voith Board of Management and became CFO and Executive Vice President as well as Managing Director of the Voith Digital Group Division in 2016. Finally, in 2018, he became CFO and Managing Director of the Voith Turbo Group Division with responsibility for Finance & Controlling, IT & Processes and Procurement.
"For her many years of dedication and commitment, the Advisory Board of Siempelkamp GmbH & Co. KG extends their thanks to Elisabeth Bienbeck-Ketelhohn. Likewise, a big thank you goes to Dr. Martin Stark for the successful management of the Group over the past three years and for the many optimization measures and priorities set in the area of business processes and digitalization. The Advisory Board wishes them both all the best for the future. With the strong dual leadership we can successfully continue the new transformation path and lead the Siempelkamp Group into the future," explains Dr. Dieter Siempelkamp, Honorary Chairman of the Advisory Board.
