Siempelkamp at LIGNA 2025: “Smart. Sustainable. Siempelkamp.”

Smart and sustainable technologies and services form a prominent part of the trade fair highlights which the Siempelkamp team will be presenting at LIGNA. “Smart” stands for the Siempelkamp approach of ensuring maximum efficiency in the area of raw material consumption and plant operation for customers. We are also focusing on increasing the productivity and quality of wood-based panels plants. Siempelkamp has been working with digital solutions for many years and is continuously advancing them. “We have systematically expanded our expertise in the field of digital technologies and analytics. Visitors to the stand at LIGNA can gain a vivid impression of how this expertise can increase the performance and efficiency of a wood-based panels plant,” explains Samiron Mondal, Managing Director at Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH.
Siempelkamp already presented its new digital platform “IQ” in 2023. This year at LIGNA, “IQ” will be bundling all the features of the digital system even more holistically. Visitors to the stand will gain a vivid impression of the comprehensive concept for the analysis, control and optimization of the new ContiRoll®generation of systems: Generation 9 iQ. This new generation combines Siempelkamp’s traditional art of engineering with modern digitalization solutions and AI methods. By merging IT and mechanical engineering, the company is setting new benchmarks in terms of throughput and resourcing efficiency. Siempelkamp has also achieved an important milestone towards full plant autonomy: The “control room of the future” impressively demonstrates how such autonomy can be achieved. At LIGNA, it will provide an insight into the future, changed role of the plant operator, who will be relieved of operational tasks by the digital concept. In future, operators will concentrate on monitoring processes and will only intervene in the event of anomalies.
“Smart” is also the keyword for presenting Siempelkamp services: Our group-wide service experts will be represented at the booth together. They will be pooling their expertise with the international service locations to ensure one-stop global services. The new “Siempelkamp Service Excellence” initiative is integrating the spare-parts service as well as remote services, modernizations and other services in a smart way. It delivers benefits in terms of speed, excellent quality and smooth processes to customers.
Another smart topic at the LIGNA in the field of services will be the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) process. Siempelkamp service has been using EDI for several years and combines two main advantages to maximize customer benefits: Expertise in mechanical and plant engineering and experience as a technical dealer - including extensive spare parts storage and optimized spare parts processes. The online spare parts catalog, which has a far more complex structure than a pure online shop, also pays tribute to “Smart”.
“Sustainable” - the second part of Siempelkamp’s motto for the trade fair - is also going to be represented at the LIGNA in a way that can be both felt and experienced. Sustainability with resource efficiency, innovation and social responsibility go hand in hand in the Siempelkamp concept. These topics are crucial to the success of people, machines, technologies, and services in the wood-based panels industry. Research and development activities that Siempelkamp is pushing ahead with in the field of sustainability will be another focus at our booth at the LIGNA.
The recycling tower is one of the booth highlights: This is where Siempelkamp will be using augmented reality to showcase its technologies and research activities concerning sustainable and customized recycling solutions. The focus is particularly on MDF recycling.
Siempelkamp service also demonstrates how it is invigorating its commitment to sustainability. A new plant is a long-term investment. Here, it pays to take action with modernization or modifications that preserve the existing structure. At LIGNA, our service experts will be revealing which options for modernization are available to help reduce CO2 emissions. It will also be possible to explore the topics of energy and material savings and energy recovery in Hall 26, Booth E 27.
“LIGNA is the ideal platform for us to strengthen our ties with customers, partners, scientists, and applicants. We look forward to showcasing our innovations in Hanover and engaging in dialog with visitors to our stand,” Samiron Mondal adds.
