Kastamonu Entegre AS: New Siempelkamp particleboard plant for Kastamonu City

Krefeld, July 26 2022 - In June, Kastamonu Entegre placed an order with Siempelkamp for a new particleboard plant for its location in Kastamonu City. The successful cooperation of the two partners thus results in the third joint project within only two and a half years. With good reason: Performance and teamwork are convincing even in challenging times.

On the way to a new, successful project: f.l.t.r. Hasan Akpinar (Global Investment and Projects Director, Kastamonu Entegre), Ulrich Kaiser (Head of Sales, Siempelkamp). Ralf Spindler (GIM Export)

The new plant corresponds to the design of the particleboard plant that Kastamonu Entegre has been operating at the Samsun site since February 2021. It produces reliably following a smooth project flow and excellent teamwork of all parties involved – despite the restrictions set by the Corona pandemic. This plant, as well as the one currently on order, contains a 7' x 37.1 m ContiRoll® and is designed for a daily output of 2,000 m³.

At the plant in Kastamonu City the Turkish wood-based panel producer has already been operating a Siempelkamp plant for the production of MDF and HDF since 2007. With the new particleboard plant at this location, Kastamonu Entegre is expanding its range of boards for the domestic furniture industry.

The new project is the tenth in the chronology of continuous presses that Kastamonu Entegre is realizing with its German partner. As recently as November 2021, Kastamonu Entegre ordered a superlative wood-based panel plant for MDF production at the Balıkesir site. With an 8' x 63.7 m ContiRoll®, it includes the longest continuous press in the Turkish market.

The decisive factor for the new joint project is the continuously high standard Siempelkamp has supported Kastamonu Entegre with for years. "No compromise is made concerning the quality standards," explains Kastamonu Entegre in its quality policy. Siempelkamp is the right partner for this high demand. The exemplary fast installation and start-up of the particleboard plant in Samsun were just as convincing as the current performance: "The plant in Samsun keeps what the initial phase promised. It produces at a top level and stands for everything that is important to us when we realize projects for our customers: reliability, high performance, teamwork," says Ulrich Kaiser, Head of Sales Siempelkamp. Siempelkamp is again realizing the new particleboard plant in Kastamonu City in cooperation with the GIM Export Group, Siempelkamp's link to the Turkish market.
