Acceptance at Kastamonu Entegre A.S.: Teşekkürler! (Thank you)!

Krefeld, May 28th, 2021 – On May 1, Kastamonu Entegre celebrated the acceptance of its new particleboard plant with Generation 9 ContiRoll® at the Samsun location. "Team Siempelkamp" shares the Turkish customer’s happiness about this success and thanks them for the constructive work on the joint project.

Team "Kastamonu Entegre" with the First Plate

Start of assembly in July 2020, completed dry run in January 2021, first board at the end of February – on May 1st, the so far most important milestone in the implementation of the project was reached. Also on the home straight, the cooperation between "Team Kastamonu" and "Team Siempelkamp" was characterized by a constructive and always appreciative collaboration.

Particularly pleasing: The timeline of the plant beat some agreed deadlines. KEAS started three-shift operation only 18 days after the first board – one week earlier than scheduled. The nominal output for the main product was achieved shortly after the start of the three-shift operation; due to the excellent know-how of the customer's team, it was already possible to operate with design parameters until acceptance. Acceptance itself took place already one week before the agreed date. In addition, the entire production range from 6 to 35 m boards was pre-run; the press line produces safely and reliably up to the design speed of 1,200 mm/s. A daily capacity of 2,000 m3 has already been reached.

"We would like to extend our congratulations to a strong customer team, to whom we sincerely say 'teşekkürler" for the top cooperation. We are proud that our long-standing cooperation results in another wood-based materials plant, which supports Kastomonu Entegre in its motivation to achieve the highest customer satisfaction. 'We approach our business partners with respect, fairness and courtesy' – this principle is anchored in Kastamonu Entegre's Code of Ethics & Business Conduct. "We have met this attitude in every area of our cooperation, from the management to the joint work on the construction site," says Ulrich Kaiser, Head of Sales Wood Division at Siempelkamp.

Siempelkamp project manager Axel Weiss adds: "At the time of signing the contract, it was not yet apparent what magnitude the Corona pandemic would develop. We successfully met this challenge. Working as highly motivated, competent teams on both sides was fun, and we'll be happy to do it again." Site manager Torsten Milk agrees: "The cooperation with the KEAS team was just great – everything fit."
