Trainee Programme / Work Experience / Diploma Work

Paths and opportunities for the future

There is a long tradition of training at Siempelkamp. Since the early days, our company has always accorded special importance to the training of young people, previously referred to as apprentices. Then as now, solid basic training is an important building block for subsequent professional life, and for us it forms the basis for qualified employees.

During training in our company, teamwork, a responsible attitude, goal-oriented thinking and reliability play an important role alongside profession-specific knowledge. If you are interested in the trainee programme at Siempelkamp, you should apply around a year before the training start. New training periods generally begin at the end of the summer holidays.

The following trainee professions are offered at Siempelkamp Nukleartechnik:

Precision mechanic

(shared training facilities Krefeld and Mülheim)

Industrial salespersons m/f

(training facility Krefeld)

We look forward to your compelling application, with the usual documents. All suitable applicants receive an invitation from us to an attitude test and for interview.

Work experience / work experience "tasters"

Before the trainee programme, high school students of grades 9 and 11 can complete a course of work experience in our company, in which they can get to know the professions represented at Siempelkamp. We should like to assist them in deciding on their later professional development.

Work experience is offered in the following areas:

-    as a precision mechanic

-    in the commercial area.

We are also simultaneously offering so-called work experience "tasters" during the general holiday periods. This work experience generally lasts two or three days, and should give you a more precise idea of our trainee professions in a real environment.

All work experience is accompanied by experienced trainers and training supervisors. It is our aim to give you a complete idea of your "dream job", that helps you to start down the right path of training.

How do you get work experience?

Either approach the coordinator at your school, who will establish contact with us, or attempt it on your own and send your compelling application directly to Siempelkamp Nukleartechnik. Please enclose the usual documents with your application, and send it or any questions to the contact address given above.

Work experience for students

Students who are looking for work experience in their subject or an additional activity will find we offer these possibilities at our locations. If you are both personally and socially competent and perform well, send us your application documents. In our company, you will be entrusted with responsible tasks and integrated into one of our project teams.

Diploma work

Students studying for their diplomas have the possibility of preparing diploma or graduation theses in close proximity to practice. The direct relationship with practice makes you familiar with our tasks, aims and structures and thus contributes to the development of your knowledge and competence. Our internet presence will give you first insights into our business area. If you are interested, please direct your enquiries to our personnel department.
