These heavy presses are required for the bending of thick plates, e.g. in shipbuilding, or for the production of reactor parts, etc.
Plate straightening presses
In the metalworking industry these presses are used to straighten semi-finished products for subsequent metal-cutting.
Heavy plate punching presses
These presses are designed as the lead presses to succeeding hydraulic forming presses. They punch sheets of 2.5 to 12 mm (0.1 in to 0.47 in) for commercial vehicle components (e.g., gusset plates) which are formed in the succeeding presses.
