Raw materials processing
Vertical mills
Vertical mills are used for both cement and coal grinding. The material is ground down between the rotating grinding pan and the large rollers. Larger grinding systems can deliver an output of up to 1,000 Mg/h.
The size of the grinding pans ranges from a raw cast weight of around 8,000 kg to more than 200,000 kg, with diameters of up to 7 m.
Horizontal mills
This type of mill is a large, horizontally driven cylinder. It is used for coarse grinding of a number of different ores (including gold, copper and iron ore). Depending on the intended application, the mills have an external diameter of up to 14 m. With the smaller mills (up to around 6 m in diameter), the ends are manufactured as a single piece. Larger mill ends are manufactured from several cast segments.
