As of October 1, 2007 Siempelkamp Nukleartechnik GmbH in Krefeld, Germany has absorbed the business unit NIS with 165 employees from the German NUKEM Technologies GmbH in Alzenau and the French Assistance Nucléaire S.A. – ANSA; in former times both business divisions were part of the RWE group. The new business unit will operate as NIS Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH. With this taking over Siempelkamp is well prepared for the increased business volume due to the worldwide tasks for the safe operation of existing plants and those to be erected in the future. As supplier of systems and components we also enlarge our performances in the field of operational and diagnostic systems, calculations in nuclear physics and project management. This strategic acquisition of highly skilled personnel means a clear commitment to the operational site Germany and to CO2 emission free energy generation out of nuclear energy.
