Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG opened a new location in Bladnice, Czech Republic, on December 17, 2008. To date 20 employees have started working there. With this latest office the Krefeld-based company orients its competences in many different directions.
At the new Czech location Siempelkamp manufactures a wide variety of forming line components ranging from parts for the matformer to the roller conveyor. An important advantage is that all orders from the wood-based products industry, which are not delivered within China, can be produced at the Blatnice factory. From there it will be quicker to supply the European market. Since Blatnice is close to the border of Austria the location is easily accessible. Furthermore, the factory’s location outside the larger industrial centers offers additional favorable general conditions. “Relief through self-construction” is another essential advantage of the new location. Due to the new location in the Czech Republic the company is gaining more independence from external suppliers. This will result in a higher added value within the Siempelkamp Group.
The new production location with a total area of 2,600 m2 provides an optimal basis for future orders. Production started at the site with 20 employees. Starting in April up to 20 more employees will be hired. On average this team will perform approx. 11,000 manufacturing hours for the production of forming line components per order. Further potential is added with parts which are included in the scope of supply of the Siempelkamp Handling Systeme GmbH. The manufacture of these parts accumulates another 2,500 manufacturing hours on average per order. | ||
