Contents of the training:
The cooperative engineering training is a dual degree course with the Bachelor final academic qualification. It is particularly suited to students with the university entrance qualification (Abitur) with a technical interest who wish to pursue a career as a mechatronics engineer. A two-year industrial training course as a skilled worker provides the specific practical skills required to understand the sometimes complex theoretical connections. The training course takes place alongside the degree course. The bachelor student of mechatronics/robotics is trained to be able to analyze complex physical and technical connections. The students learn to describe, model and simulate these using the technical mathematical principles of mechanics, electronics and information technology. In addition, the course includes the development of mechatronic systems. The main task of the mechatronics engineer is the optimal design of the system as a whole. On the basis of the general knowledge gained from mechanics, electronics and information technology, the mechatronics engineer is able to link the methods and tools from these individual disciplines and solve interface problems between these areas. Existing products can thus be improved technically and in terms of cost-effectiveness and be refined for greater efficiency.
