CASTOR®-Cask Bodies
CASTORs are employed as transport and interim storage casks for fuel elements and highly radioactive waste. Siempelkamp supplies and manufactures the thick-walled ductile cast iron cask body with individual weights from 30 to 160 Mg, including the necessary machining. Thus far, over 400 CASTOR® cask bodies have been produced at our manufacturing sites.
