Automation

We use the latest automation system solutions in manufacturing and process technology to guarantee the high rates of availability and reliability of our plant. To fulfill the ever-increasing demands made on system functions and the ever-closer dovetailing of operating systems and control computers through to the sensor/actuator level, we fit the most up-to-date harmonized and networked automation components supplied by leading systems manufacturers (Siemens, Rockwell...). Even with this degree of diversity, we are still able to offer top quality and short commissioning times for customized plant configurations as a result of our standards, our consistent modularization of software and hardware and supported by our comprehensive integration test which uses the latest simulation technology.

Siempelkamp Press Controller (SPC)

Special requirements for process control technology for ContiRoll presses require special solutions. Our own design – the SPC (Siempelkamp Press Controller) – offers the performance necessary for a range of control functions, such as the cascaded print/position control with all its programmable functions right through to the ultra-accurate press/feed contour adjustment. Feedback of the thickness values of the unworked sheets to the calibration zone of the ContiRoll press is one of our outstanding automatic functions. With the appropriate control system function in support, the operator can rely on an optimized “Autopilot” for consistently high process quality.
